Fireboy DML Explains The Motive Behind His Hit, “Jealous”

Fireboy DML has so far dropped two of the biggest songs for this year 2019 “Jealous” and “What If I Say”. Both songs are doing wonderfully well on the Top 50 Charts Also, their videos are topping various charts.

Many times, fans have wondered what inspired “Jealous” as many can relate to it. the lyrics of the song connected to a lot on a very personal level.

“Jealous” which is still very much in the wave and setting records has a plot to it.

In an interview with Punch, Fireboy explained that “Jealous was inspired by personal experience. I had a roller-coaster affair with a young lady that turned into an unhealthy addiction. I wanted to relive the experience in a song, so I did”.

He has also mentioned several times that he didn’t know Jealous would be such a massive tune. When asked to disclose the identity of the girl in question, he refused.
